Abandoned. It feels like being pushed back and watch helplessly as people leave you behind.

First day of school:

You're so happy, someone actually wants to be your friend in this strange new place called school. For the first time in your short life you can laugh without being yelled at.

The next day you watch as your friend plays with some other children. You watch happily, waiting to be invited at first. Afterall you don't want to disturb them, you've been taught this quite well from your family. Surely your friend will notice you sitting alone. Someone looks over, then back at what they're doing. They say something you can't quite hear and your friend looks at you. They stare as if they don't know you.

You go over and they say you can't do this little game or activity. You feel confused and look to your "friend", who only stares back. You brush it off and sit back at your seat to do something yourself.

The next day a group walks up to you and points out stuff about you, saying many bad things about them. Such as what you're wearing and how you look, your "friend" joining in. They walk away with the others and you feel hurt.

The person you once knew as a friend does things with that group of kids and they continually point out things about you. Make sure you put on a cheerful face to others and brush it off. Afterall they were your only and first friend who left you.

A new person wants to be your friend. You happily agree, not wanting to feel lonely. The group bothers you both.

The next day, that person sits with other people. Not nessacarily with that one group. You just stare and wait again to be invited. Yet the invitation never comes. You go up to the group and try to talk to your new friend. They pretend not to notice you and the group tells you to go away. That you're weird and they don't want you to be near them.

You go back to your desk and wear a cheerful mask as you watch everyone else around play. You sit by yourself and hold back your feelings of sadness. You've learned this well from your family. They have afterall taught you not to cry. That its bad under any reason.

Year after year people say they want to be your friend then leave you. Yet you still accept it and feel happy they've met some people who make them happy. But you can't help, but feel a odd thing called lonliness. They all can escape being lonely and abandoned, but you're stuck with it.

One year you see a girl who gets picked on as well, but she fights back. You've never learned to do this yourself, being already emotionally brought down by previous years of abuse from both family and people at school. You sit with her, because she looks lonely and you want someone to be there next to you. You want nothing more than this new person to be happy so they don't leave you.

Taken from: :iconangeldarknessn: I just wanted to post this.Hey you deserters out there, once you make a friend, don't abandon themI hope you learned something
